Visualization

Design professionals are responsible for taking a design concept and providing the means to turn it into a 3D reality. Ironically, this has been accomplished by converting a 3D idea into 2D representations created with lines, text, and symbols. These 2D graphic symbols are then delivered to a contractor to be re-interpreted back into 3D and physical construction. The challenge, though, is that throughout this traditional delivery process critical information can be lost or misinterpreted, and this directly (and negatively) affects the efficiency and economy of the project.

DKE has embraced the use of BIM for 3D modeling, design analysis, document production, and enhancing the construction process. We understand that "true" BIM means closer collaboration of engineering and drafting within our own office, and closer linkage with all the disciplines on a team. Visualization is facilitated in all phases of our BIM work with shared 3D data and added value to our clients and owners.
